Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Basim Khairy Khudair, Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, the Women’s Affairs Unit in the college, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Department at the Muthanna Governorate Office, organized a workshop titled “The Importance of Women’s Political Participation in Iraq.”
The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rasha Jameel Alwan, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College; Eng. Zaman Imad Abdul Ameer, Head of the Women’s Affairs Department in the Governorate Office; and Ms. Raghad Saad Fazzaa, liaison officer of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency.
The session discussed the active role Iraqi women can play in the political field and emphasized the importance of empowering them to participate in decision-making positions as a means to promote social and political development.
The event witnessed notable attendance from faculty members, staff, and students, who actively engaged with the workshop’s themes through constructive contributions and discussions that enriched the session with valuable ideas and perspectives.
