Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Basim Khairi Khudair, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the college, organized an awareness workshop entitled “UNSCR 1325 and How to Achieve Its Objectives.”
The workshop featured lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Muntaser Hassan Dhahirb, Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Jameel Alwan from the Women’s Affairs Unit, as well as Lecturer Ghufran Fleiḥ from the Legal Affairs Unit at the college.
The workshop aimed to highlight the significance of the UN resolution in enhancing the role of women in peace and security, and to review mechanisms for achieving its objectives at both local and international levels.
The event was attended by a group of faculty members and students, who praised the importance of the topic and its role in raising legal and social awareness that contributes to supporting and empowering women.
